These flowers are the work horses of our own TGW cutting garden that will produce abundantly all season when you treat it like a cutting garden! This collections will not only be beautiful in the garden but will provide fresh-cut flowers all season long.

  • Requires full sun
  • Seeds can be planted directly in the garden or started indoors for an early start.
  • Soil blockers: all seeds use small blocker, except sunflower seeds which uses the large blocker
  • Collection is planted after last danger of frost has past and the soil has begun to warm, typically a couple of weeks past your last frost date.
  • Collection includes a suggested cutting garden planting diagram
  • This collection makes an excellent cutting garden choice or landscape bed

  • F74 Benary’s Giants Zinnia Mixed, 100 seeds, 36”. Cover seeds with 1/4" of soil, 2-5 days to germinate, harvest when fully open. Make the harvest cut at the base of the stem being cut, above a set of leaves.
  • F57 Sunbright Sunflower, 50 seeds, 72”. Cover seed with 1/4" of soil, 3-7 days to germinate. Harvest blooms as the petals begin to unfold to protect from insect damage, these are a one cut flower, so make the cut anywhere.
  • F23 Pampas Plume Celosia, 100 seeds 48”. Do not cover seeds, 5-10 days to germinate, harvest when fully developed. Pinch when 12" tall to two sets of leaves. Make the harvest cut at the base of the stem being cut.  
  • F73 Zinnia Lime Green, 50 seeds, 36”. Cover seeds with 1/4" of soil, 2-5 days to germinate, harvest when fully open. Make the harvest cut at the base of the stem being cut, above a set of leaves.  
  • H3 Mrs. Burns Lemon Basil, 100 seeds, 30". Cover seed lighly, 5-10 days to germinate, harvest when flower spikes are developing for longest vase life. Make the harvest cut at the base of the stem at just above ground level.
